Did you ever think our shopping stores could get any simpler? Maybe faster service? Well with the no-checkout technology we have today it is possible, and it is growing in popularity! Basically there is an app anyone can download on their smartphone that they just scan the items they pickup and pay for directly right there on their own phone. So people will not have to deal with checkout waiting lines, wont have to worry about losing their credit card, and so many more benefits. All around the world we are converting to this technology. In the UK, one of their biggest supermarkets have adopted this technology. A helpdesk is present for people who want to pay in cash or people who are having issues. 82% of the stores transactions were cashless. In the U.S., Amazon has checkout free stores in Seattle, Chicago, and San Fransisco. When one picks up an item, it adds to their virtual cart. If they put it back, it removes it from their cart. Upon leaving the store, the customers will be charged for what they payed for, and it will be charged to their Amazon account, using the Amazon Go app. This is incredible how it works, and there is also a help desk where customers can pay with cash if they choose. These technologies are great, and are becoming more popular. Maybe one day this technology will take over at all shopping stores, or at least most of the big ones.
