This article discusses a technology that is being used to predict the behavior of a worm in response to pain. While this may seem small and insignificant, the implications that this technology brings are not. The ability to predict and mimic the behavior of something so small and uncomplicated as a worm in a specific circumstance is a necessary step to predict the behavior of something comparatively more complicated like a human being in any circumstance thrown at them. While there is some error, i.e. times that behavior is unexplained, as the technology advances and learns from the study of living worms, it will only become more accurate and ready for expanded use.
